Acne Everywhere

Body Acne is just as stressful as facial acne. The hypersensitivity of your skin breaking out is always on your mind. Acne scars cover you all over. Why does this happen and how can you deal with it?

First, let’s get into the main causes of body acne.

Hormones, the environment, excessive sweating, oily skin, or bad hygiene could all be possible catalysts in your body’s breakout. Regardless of the cause, your skin's pores clog easily and struggle on their own to stay open and clear.

Now that we know why body acne is happening, how do we fight it?

If you are currently struggling with a breakout, the first thing you should focus on is treatment. Start by cleaning the currently irritated skin with an Acne-fighting body wash about 3-4 times a week (something that includes Benzoyl Peroxide, Tea tree oil, or Salicylic Acid).

Treatment Cleansers

Think of these cleansers as your treatment. These are what you will be using to breakout down the acne and fight any bacteria. I, personally, do not suggest using them everyday. Find a schedule that works for you

(ex. 3 times a week, every other day, or during your worst breakouts, etc.)

On regular days when your acne is calm or just not in the need of any treatment, you can use a non-fragrenced and gentle cleanser.

Prevention Cleansers

Each of these cleansers are meant for sensitive skin so they're great for everyday use and should not cause any breakouts and dry the skin either!

Most times these cleansers are drying, so hydration and moisturizing are important too.

(Let me know in the comments if you want any good body moisturizers or exfoliates for any or all skin types).

This small change in your routine could help you depending on the severity of your acne and the causes of it. This is to help prevent severe breakouts and hopefully lower the amount of breakouts you experience. If we’re able to do that, then a win is a win!
